More from Nuremberg 2003...

Our last official day of the tour included a trip to the DB Museum in Nuremberg.  If you haven't been, then I highly recommend you visit this wonderful museum...

Here is Regensburg's station.  The IBIS hotel, where we stayed, is located directly adjacent to the station.  We watched trains of all types come through...

The old East German Ludmillas are getting rarer and rarer...

Nigel and Chris in front of the DB Museum entrance...

Carsten at the controls of the BR111 simulator... Onthe ride from Nuremberg to Fuerth I was consitently forgetting the dead-man's switch, bringing my train to a complete halt!

Next up are some pictures from the Fleischmann H.O. scale layout...

Then we headed into the equipment halls.  We started at the King Ludwig train, wonderfully restored...

In addition, the main building holds several beautiful engines...

Those who stay only in the main building miss out on a second hall of rolling stock.  Be sure to cross the street, too...

After the museum, we headed over to a train store nearby...

We spent nearly fifteen minutes just looking through the window before even entering the store!  After making some purchases, it was time to head back to Frankfurt, where I took the following photos...

They are renovating the roof, and workers mentioned that the immense halls may be reduced in size.  Motivation enough to take a few photos!  I'll be sure to take more in May during the next Great Event Tours...

... Hope to see you there!
